Overview for Weekly Talks

The following series of 24 talks consists of 17 covering personal recovery, 6 covering the Traditions and 1 covering the Concepts. It is intended as a complete course and are written on the assumption that people will, in time here each of the talks. In our opinion, they will lose effectiveness if they are not done in order, or if any are omitted. Each is written to be about 20 minutes long. Suggestions as to how they can be fitted into the format of a meeting are made in the section on this site called Setting up a Group.

For the talks on Step 2, Step 4, Step 8 and Step 11 there is supporting material that can be handed out to members before the meeting starts. These are given in the section of this site called Supporting Material.

In addition, a more detailed account of all these topics, plus additional topics, is given in the site www.miseryisoptional.info. We suggest that those sponsoring people through the steps use the versions given on this more detailed site to help their one-to-one 12th-step work.
